Alpacas are the Coolest!

Talking about Alpacas can always brighten even the worst days here are a few facts for you...
 
 
Alpacas are native to countries in South America including Peru, northern Bolivia, ecuador and Chile
 
Alpacas colors can vary from black, white, brown and gray.
 
Alpacas wool is water repellent and is used for making coats, sweaters and blankets.
 
Alpacas weigh from 100-175 pounts.
 
Alpacas live about 20 years
 
Alpacas are known to spit if threatened (just like Camels)
 
Alpacas typically produce about 5-8 pounds of fleece a year
 
Female Alpacas are called "cow" and Males are called "bull"
 
Alpacas are easy to train and are known to be domesticated
