We all need a break from the real world oh baby yes it's true. Hey Some of us need a real break from our basic work but uh,… sometimes ...well…we need a break from YOU! So enjoy you're random content, comments are super nice and appreciated, yes they do, and even some of them are even rewarded now, in their own way, I trust it’s cool. SO tell yo friends, tell yo mother, tell your pet rock, it's still cool! Just please don't tell your Aunt Bertha, cuz she don't play it like we do.. cuz...it's cuz...we be old school!

Egyptian Giant Solpugids (Camel Spiders)

Since you all seemed very interested in Camel Spiders I figured I would share some more information from a reputable source, National Geographic.

As previously mentioned in my other post the myth that these Camel Spiders eat large mammals is purely untrue. However, this article says they cannot outrun a human but also mentions they can run up to 10 MPH or (16 Kilometers per hour). I don't know about you but I would say if this thing can run 10 MPH it can absolutely out run me.

Apparently these guys aren't even real spiders. They are actually members of the class Arachnida but are actually solpugids.

I will include a quick fact breakdown from the information provided to make this easier for you all to read.

BAM!

  • Camel Spiders also called Wind Scorpions and Egyptian Giant Solpugids
  • generally 6 in (15 centimeters) long
  • weigh around 2 oz (56 g)
  • Can Run 10 miles (16 Kilometers) per hour
  • Carnivore
  • live around a year or less in the wild
  • kill insects, rodents, lizards, and birds
  • Have powerful jaws which can be up to 1/3 of their body length (these turn their victims into a pulp with a chopping/sawing motion)
  • Use digestive fluids to liquefy their victims flesh allowing them to suck the remains into their own stomach
I don't know about you but my thoughts about these guys have not changed. They are still very scary and I would never want to be in the presence of one. Below is the link to National Geographic if you need to see this for yourself.
